Studio practice
My studio is situated in Bärschwil, a serene village approximately one hour from Basel. This environment fosters harmony, a connection with nature, and an opportunity for focused creativity. In addition to my art practice, I dedicate time to caring for my three-year-old son and I conduct workshops that emphasize personal exploration through the medium of color.

Mein Atelier befindet sich in Bärschwil, einem ruhigen Dorf etwa eine Stunde von Basel entfernt. Diese Umgebung fördert die Harmonie, die Verbundenheit mit der Natur und die Möglichkeit zu konzentrierter Kreativität. Neben meiner künstlerischen Tätigkeit kümmere ich mich um meinen dreijährigen Sohn und leite Workshops, in denen die persönliche Auseinandersetzung mit dem Medium Farbe im Vordergrund steht.
Art statement
I create spiritual landscapes inspired by the playful visions from the edge of consciousness. In my art practice I use dry pigments sourced from a variety of plants and minerals. They connect ethereal scenes stronger to Earth, nature forces and the present moment.
The combination of natural materials and imaginative motives create bridge between seen and unseen and potentially, if you believe in it, it holds healing potential.
(DE) Ich kreiere spirituelle Landschaften, inspiriert von den spielerischen Visionen am Rande des Bewusstseins. In meiner Kunstpraxis verwende ich Trockenpigmente, die aus einer Vielzahl von Pflanzen und Mineralien gewonnen werden. Sie verbinden ätherische Szenen stärker mit der Erde, den Naturkräften und dem gegenwärtigen Moment.
Die Kombination von natürlichen Materialien und imaginative Motiven schafft eine Brücke zwischen dem Sichtbaren und dem Unsichtbaren und birgt möglicherweise, wenn man daran glaubt, ein heilendes Potenzial.
There is no other Home than this
My paintings, in essence, create themselves. I mostly see myself as a conduit. Initially, I engage with the empty canvas in a meditative state, allowing lines, eyes, and colors to emerge organically, without structuring it in any way.
I follow two simple principles: to set prior intention and do not have a ready image in my mind for an outcome. I try to “turn off the commentator” in my mind and trust, that what I see on the canvas makes sense. This process feels sometimes like a form of mediumship. Until I do not interrupt, the painting usually finds it’s way.
For me it’s a form of connecting and giving a form of a painting to some sort of higher spiritual knowing coded in us.
(DE) Es gibt keine andere Heimat als diese
Meine Bilder entstehen im Grunde genommen von selbst. Ich sehe mich hauptsächlich als Vermittler. Zunächst setze ich mich in einem meditativen Zustand mit der leeren Leinwand auseinander und lasse zu, dass sich Linien, Augen und Farben organisch entwickeln, ohne sie in irgendeiner Weise zu strukturieren.
Ich folge zwei einfachen Grundsätzen: Ich setze eine Absicht voraus und habe kein fertiges Bild für ein Ergebnis im Kopf. Ich versuche, den „Kommentator“ in meinem Kopf auszuschalten und darauf zu vertrauen, dass das, was ich auf der Leinwand sehe, einen Sinn ergibt. Dieser Prozess fühlt sich manchmal wie eine Form der Medialität an. Solange ich nicht unterbreche, findet das Bild normalerweise seinen Weg.
Für mich ist es eine Form der Verbindung und eine Form des Gemäldes zu einer Art höherem spirituellen Wissen, das in uns kodiert ist.
